Nicki Minaj and Cardi B can even have all that rivalry, but together they are the most successful R&B/Hip-Hop female artists in the history of american music.
Celebrating Women’s History Month, The Recording Industry Association of America, RIAA, revealed today a list with certified female artists in R&B and Hip-Hop, and also their albums and songs. As expected, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are dominating the three lists!
Minaj appears twice on the albums list – first place for “Pink Friday” and second spot for “The Pinkprint”, 3x platinum and 2x platinum, respectively. Closing the Top 3 is Cardi’s “Ivasion Of Privacy”, which is also 2x platinum.
On the songs list, Cardi B has two spots on the Top 3: first place for “Bodak Yellow”, 7x platinum, and third place for “I Like It”, her collaboration with J Balvin and bad Bunny, which is 5x platinum. Second place goes to Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX’s “Fancy”, 7x platinum in the United States.
