Officialy launched on April 5th, the new BLACKPINK mini album “Kill This Love” has accomplished several records for the group even before it hit stores in a physical version.
Now that the album has finally arrived on South-Korean shelves, Jisoo, Lisa, Rosé and Jennie have a new record on their hands. Within only three hours of sales, “Kill This Love” has become the best selling girl group album in South Korea, according to Hanteo – Korean music chart.
In these three hours, BLACKPINK sold 47.360 copies of “Kill This Love”, surpassing the old record from the group IZ*ONE with the album “Heart*Iz”, which sold 46.790 units on its first day of sales. The third place on the Hanteo’s girlband ranking belongs to TWICE and its album “Signal”, which finished its first 24 hours of sales with 42.444 copies sold.
