Domestic violence is something that Christina Aguilera knows for real, unfortunately. The singer and her mother lived their lives in a violent home and since she turned into a famous person, Christina has spoken about the issue in many of her lyrics and in events as Unicef ambassador.
Now, Aguilera is planning to put the spotlight on the theme once again. According to Good Morning America, her residency in Las Vegas “Christina Aguilera: The Xperience” will raise money for The Shade Tree, a Nevada shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence and human trafficking.
“Christina not only possesses remarkable talent, she represents strength, perseverance and unapologetic female independence — characteristics so fitting for our mission to help homeless and abused women regain their own independence,” said The Shade Tree’s executive director.
“Christina Aguilera: The Xperience” premieres on May 31st at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
