Britney Spears might be checked in a mental health facility, but her manager Larry Rudolph keeps on working on her career. The Deadline site claims that Spears and Rudolph have signed a new contract to co-produce, via David Entertainment, a new musical-film based on the Pop Princess own songs. The movie will be titled “Once Upon a One More Time”.
The project’s name may be familiar to the singer’s fanbase because it’s the same name that was given to a Broadway Musical that is under development! Sony Pictures acquired the rights to create a film adaptation of it. Brtiney Spears has followed the project very closely despite her personal issues and according to US Weekly she took part on the first script reading that happened last year in New York and gave the green light to producers.
The “Once Upon a One More Time” Musical will debut in Chicago on November 13th, before moving to New York. The plot is based on a readers club formed by Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel and the Sleeping Beauty, Aurora. They can only read the Grimm Brothers fairy tales compilation, because it’s all they have, until a fairy godmother brings them the feminist classic “The Feminine Mystique” by Betty Friedan – since then, the princesses’s lives are changed in an unexpected way. The script was written by Jon Hartmere and Kristin Hanggi will be in charge of the direction.
